Cecilia Orta Allende (1923-2000) was a renowned artist from Carolina, Puerto Rico. Born on October 21, 1923, she studied painting from a young age and earned multiple scholarships for her exceptional talent. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Orta Allende exhibited her work in prominent venues across Puerto Rico and Mexico. Notably, she presented "The Rolling Art Gallery" in 1975 and 1983. Her contributions to the arts and dedication to promoting Afro-Taíno culture earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as the Symbolic Woman of Carolina. She passed away on October 21, 2000.
