Title: Luz

In my artwork titled "Light," I seek to proudly exalt the Afro-descendant heritage that I carry in my blood. Through a careful mix of colors and textures, I evoke a sense of honor and reverence towards this heritage that enriches me so much. The golden fabric symbolizes the radiance and nobility inherent in the Afro-descendant culture that I carry with me, while the flowers represent symbolic offerings to those who have forged the path in the history of our community. The stones and slopes, present in my work, act as symbols of majesty and resistance, reflecting the strength and greatness of the Afro-descendant people throughout time. Together, this combination of visual and material elements creates a powerful and emotive representation of the cultural richness and proud identity that defines me as an artist and as an Afro-descendant person.
